Month 2 of the Shaklee Cinch inch loss program has come and went on my journey to a happy, healthier me. I'm no longer traveling to be with my parents to hospitals, homes or rehab centers. My step dad was sent from the Rehab center he was staying in to the hospital on 8/6 (my Mom's birthday). He was pretty bad off. He managed to hold on with us until 8/8. The brain cancer weakened him so much and it finally won that battle. I miss him a lot. I hold on to the 18 years of memories though. The past 2 weeks have been difficult. Not only on my mom and me but my oldest son is missing his Papa and being only 7 I am sure it's hard for him to understand what all he is feeling inside right now.
I some how managed to lose weight and inches this month. I don't know how I managed to pull it off? The week after Lee passed I stayed with my Mom. We had people bringing in all kinds of food. The desserts were my weakness. They brought us strawberry shortcake, banana pudding and lots of other food. I was hurting and of course tried to eat away my pain a couple times, not every time I ate but more than I should have that's for sure. I don't know why I thought the hole I felt in my heart could be helped by putting all the junk in my stomach.
I'm kind of torn on how I feel about my weight loss. I'm happy that I am losing inches and pounds but in that process I can see a major road map of stretch marks on my stomach from my 2 pregnancies. I wear my stretch marks with no shame because I know what my body had to go through to bring those two little men in to this world. I managed to lose 7.5 inches and 3.2 lbs. this month, for a total of 13.5 inches and 9.2 lbs in 2 months! I weigh and measure once a week to track my numbers and there was 2 weeks in July that I had lost 0 weight but was still losing inches. Now why would I lose inches but not any weight? There has been one thing I noticed this month... I'm working on my mama guns 😉 I have no more wobble wobble on the bottom of my arms when I flex my arm. I am seeing more definition of muscle there 😀
