There are many who spend a lot of time in the kitchen baking and cooking during the holidays. I am no exception. I enjoy baking and even more so during the holidays. The cookies, cakes, pies and desserts seem to over flow once Thanksgiving comes around on through Christmas and other holidays even in to the new year. I have many carries and pans that I use when I am traveling from home with food and goodies to share with others. Thanks to the Personal Creations Stoneware Casserole Dish you can share your holiday treats and year round meals with a bit of personalized flair.
As I was browsing the personal creations catalog I came across the stoneware casserole dishes and pie plates. Would you serve up dinner in a colorful dish that said "Kate's Kickasserole"? I would, well maybe not until my boys are older and I had the name changed to my own. It's different, funny and you can have it hand-etched with anything you want (1 line, up to 25 characters) so it doesn't have to say kickasserole. I decided to get one of the Personal Creations casserole dish for someone if I liked it well enough. You can choose a casserole dish in burgundy red, cobalt blue or deep green.
I had a little funny I was going to make with my dish so I chose the green color. The green is just as pretty in person as it looks online and in the catalogs. I'm not sure why it looks 2 different shades in my photos though? I'm glad the bottom of the casserole dish wasn't glazed like the rest of the dish because I've noticed with other stoneware I have it gets the rough/dirty part of the job of sitting/sliding on the oven rack, sitting on counters, tables or wherever you keep it. It can get scuffed and scratched up and since the stoneware is its natural state on the bottom there is no glaze to have chip off or anything. Others may wish the entire dish was glazed, to each their own on that feature I guess.
For the personalization of the casserole dish I had them put "A Green Dish" on the side. The etching is very well done and doesn't look sloppy or uneven. Now yes it is a green dish but the humor in that will be for the person that is receiving the dish. Her name is "A. Green", so when she takes meals to church functions or to family gatherings she will have her own little personalized dish that I'm hoping she will love as much as I do and maybe even be a topic of conversation. The personal creations stoneware casserole dish measures 16 ½" L x 10" W x 2 ½" H which makes it a good size for just about any meal you plan to make. The casserole dish is lead free, safety first!, and is oven, dishwasher and microwave safe. I am the dishwasher at my house so it is only as safe as I am not a klutz and drop it on my tile floor.
I think the stoneware casserole dish from Personal Creations is a great gift idea for the chef or baker on your holiday shopping list and at $39.99 it's a good price for such a nice personalized dish. Have you ever purchased or received anything from Personal Creations? You can find many gift ideas with them and you can get just about everything personalized to make it a one of a kind.
