I debated as to post this or not but I figured I wrote it might as well publish it...

I am a thrifty/ frugal blogger. I mainly post coupons, freebies and store deals. Not all of those coupons and freebies and deals are healthy choices. Yet I post them anyways. Does that make me a bad blogger? I try to make healthy choices for my family and no I don't participate in all the fast food (not so healthy) deals that I post. I'm not a 100% exercise and 100% healthy foods is the only way to go kind of gal. I'm an in the middle. I choose healthy foods most of the time but we also have the not so healthy foods. I don't let my kids get a lot of junk food but I don't cut it completely out for them either. I'm in the middle. I post the fast food deals but don't go make special trips out to participate in the deals. I don't even participate in 90% of the restaurant deals I post. Should I not share the "deals" just because I want my family to be healthier?
I can apply the same thing to cloth diapering. Yes I am for cloth diapers but I'm not a hard core cloth advocate. I'll gladly share my thoughts, ideas and suggestions about cloth diapers with you but I also post the disposable diaper deals on my blog as well. Just because I choose cloth doesn't mean everyone else agrees with me and I want people to get the most of the money they spend no matter what they spend their money on. So again I am in the middle. I'm pro cloth but I share disposable diaper deals and coupons. That also make me a terrible blogger?
I'm not Republican or Democrat, I'm independent. I know what I believe in and stand for. I know what I blog about and why I blog what I blog. I don't care if anyone else thinks I should not post the greasy fast food deals on my blog. If you don't like reading it, don't visit my blog (or read my twitter feed). I'm not company loyal, I blog what I want to blog. I'm not a restaurant sell out. I try to post the healthy along with the not so healthy just as I try to post cloth diapers just as much as I post the disposable diaper posts. I'll try to post more of the healthier deals and coupons but as I see it there are just more options for the not so healthy in America. Am I helping America get fat? No I don't make the people print the coupons and drive them to the fast food places and shovel the food down their throats. I give them the option of choice. They choose to print the coupon, they choose to get the deals, they choose for their selves. I just blog to help people make the best of the money they spend and save.
As for my own health? How have I been doing on the exercise/ food choices? I haven't exercised in 2 weeks (except the walking we did this weekend on vacation) and I ate at Sonic, Arby's, McDonald's, Wendy's, Cracker Barrel and El Mason. I also had ice cream and diet dr pepper. Am I mad at myself? No. Am I disappointed at the choices I made? No. We enjoyed a weekend with our boys and that's all that I wanted. I'll get back to exercising one of these days and I jumped right back to weight watchers points this morning. I didn't weigh this morning. Didn't really care what the scale had to say to me this week.
I support all of the Mamavations Sistas and Mamas on their health journeys and I always will but I think that at I will no longer be a part of the Mamavation Sistahood. I'm not taking stabs at anyone or doing finger pointing I'm just tired of trying to defend myself and my blog. If you don't like the fast food posts just don't come reading here. I don't feel that I should have to stop posting the coupons or deals just because I'm trying to make healthier choices for my family. If you choose to disagree with my reasons and beliefs that's perfectly fine with me. I can agree to disagree. I'm not a fighter I'm a lover 🙂 No harsh feelings towards anyone associated with Mamavation I just feel that I don't fit in anymore. I may lose followers and/ or Twitter followers after this but I'm not all about the numbers. I'd rather have less followers that love me and my blog than a greater number that may follow me (or occasionally stops by to read) just because they think they have to.
