Blackberry, iPhones, iPods, iPads, laptops, computers, video games, we love our gadgets. I enjoy my blogging and social media connections just as much as the next but I also enjoy battery free fun with my boys. I want to nurture their imaginations and creativity as much as I can and that means no batteries required for fun. Steve & Ruth Bennett, authors of the bestselling 365 TV-Free Activities You Can Do with Your Child, has done it again. Steve and Ruth have written 101 Offline Activities You Can Do With Your Child.
101 Offline Activities You Can Do with Your Child gives you 101 gadget free activities that kids of all ages can enjoy whether you are at home, waiting in a grocery store line or out on the go. Many of the activities only require your time to play and the other activities have a very short list of items you'll need to play. The 101 activities are listed 1-101 but you can also search for activities by location that you are like at home, out and about, anywhere/anytime and more.
While going to Walmart the other day my boys and I did activity #76 which is Snork. A person picks a word of something they see while riding on the road like a stop sign or a green car and the person calls out Snork then the other people look and try to figure out what the Snork really is. I enjoy this game because Snorks were a popular cartoon when I was growing up and my boys watch it on HUB sometimes with me now.
