I shared last week how we all could sendCheer to military families thanks to Cheerios & The USO. Well I went to Walmart this week and finally found some of the sendCheer boxes. The Cheerios that have the sendCheer postcard on them is the large (18 oz) boxes. Our Walmart has the 18 oz box for $3. Some Walmart stores have the double pack of sendCheer Cheerios boxes for just $5.
Not only can you give thanks to a military family by purchasing the sendCheer Cheerios boxes and sending the postcard off but you can also clip the Box Tops for Education and help support your local school(s). Little B is all about collecting his Box Tops.
We took our sendCheer box of Cheerios and are making Cheerios treats to give to some military families with notes of thanks. Once we emptied the box I cut out our sendCheer postcard, wrote our thank you message on it and added postage to it. In honor of my Father in Law who is a Veteran with a purple heart we purchased the purple heart stamps this month.
If you want to participate in the sendCheer campaign but aren't sure of a military family to give thanks to- no worries. The postcards are pre addressed to the USO and the USO will distribute the thank you cards to military families across the US. No need for you to hunt for a family yourself. Just purchase the participating box(es) of Cheerios, clip the postcard, add a message and a stamp and get it in the mail. I'm sure even the smallest act of kindness as these postcards will be greatly appreciated by the military families who receive them. It can offer them a reminder that their service isn't going unnoticed or unappreciated.
