We made a trip to Walmart this week and I let the two boys help me pick out outdoor items that we can use to start off our Game Day Challenge collection. You can view our full shopping trip in our Odwalla Game Day Challenge Google+ album. We spent about $50 in just one trip on games, toys, balls and Odwalla juices. Our Walmart was about wiped out of Odwalla juice smoothies so I'll need to make another trip back to gather up more of the juice.
My boys would be outside every chance they had if we would let them. We've been camping this week and it's been all walking, playing outside and fishing. I let them bring their handheld video games but they have been played very little since we have been here. I love that they are so active. I have done my part to make sure that they know that when they are thirsty that it's always plain ol' water first and then other stuff. I am picky about what the boys get to drink. I try to give them the nutritious drinks and allow few of the not so healthy options. I had never noticed or purchased Odwalla juice before this project this month. It is on the end of the cold juice aisle in our Walmart with the other healthy choices of juices and smoothies. There was shelf space for multiple flavors of the Odwalla juices and smoothies. All that was left was the smaller bottles of Citrus C and Strawberry C blended smoothies. The smaller 12 oz bottles sell for $1.98. There was one flavor of Mango Tango smoothie in the larger size bottle that sells for $3.98 each. I grabbed up the last couple of the Strawberry C & Citrus C flavors. I'll be going back for more that's for sure since it was all most a bare selection to begin with.
Are you planning to participate in the Game Day Challenge this month? How are you getting involved?
