I had seen a lot of mention on blogs about the link to get a free bottle of Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce and had seen a lot of talk on twitter about Country Bob's. For whatever reason I myself had never tried Country Bob's. Then I guess it was just meant to be that I get my hands on some Country Bob's sauce because in response to one of my tweets on twitter Country Bobs offered me some bottles of sauce for a review/giveaway then when I went to WeBlog! in May there were even more bottles of Country Bob's in my swag bag. I kept a few for our house and then I shared the others with my Mom and Step Dad, My Mother in law, my Sister in law and my grandparents. Oh and my cousin won a gift pack of Country Bob's at a twitter party so they got to try it out at our Memorial Day cookout. So thank you Country Bob's. I first tried our Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce by taking chicken pieces and coating them in Country Bob's and baking it. My husband said it was ok, but my boys LOVED it. Next I made my now usual meatloaf recipe and snuck in some Country Bob's sauce. Hubby ate more meatloaf than usual (I did later tell him that I used Country Bob's). I've also tried Country Bob's in this red beans and pork chops recipe and just as a dipping sauce with the steak I fixed for dinner yesterday (shown below). You can find many more uses for Country Bob's by looking through the recipes section of their website. You can even submit your own Country Bob's recipe.
I have not found a use for the Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce that I haven't liked. Now I haven't tried it with french fries like the bottle suggests but if anyone else has Id love to hear about it. I am not much of a meat eater but thanks to Country Bob's I've been eating my fair share of meat the last couple months. I'm so glad that Country Bob Edson began selling his tasty sauce back in 1977 and that Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce found it's way to my house. I didn't know that Country Bob's also makes BBQ sauce and Seasoning Salt. I think my next Country Bob's adventure in the kitchen will be getting the Seasoning Salt and trying it out.
