"I do it myself Mama!" That's all I hear just about from Baby B when it comes to just about doing anything. Putting clothes on, fixing his sandwiches, putting his shoes on, you name it and he probably wants to do it on his own. He has been much more independent at this age than Little B was. Little B still loves for Mama to do things for him. Now Baby B will be 3 next month so he is at the "I do it myself" stage. I usually let him do most things on his own even if he doesn't fo them "right" I let him go. One thing he has a hard time with is putting socks on right. He usually puts them on inside out or upside down. He's so proud of him self too once he finally gets them on. I secretly giggle at him a little as he comes triumphantly smiling "Look Mama I do it" as I see the fuzz from the what's supposed to be the inside of his socks showing on the tops of his feet. If we were going out and he needed shoes on I would tell him that he did a great job but that his feet might feel funny in his shoes with his socks that way. He would get frustrated and he would do them again or I would help him. If you have a Mr or Miss Independent then I have a "I do it myself" product for them... EZ Sox.
EZ Sox are the training socks of kids socks. Yes I said training socks. EZ Sox are a wonderful gift idea for baby showers, for parents with toddlers, and a great stocking stuffer for toddlers and young kids. For parents of special needs children, EZ Sox addresses a daily need and offers these children self-sufficiency and empowerment. Created by parents who tired of seeing their young son struggle dressing himself, Eileen and Ronnie Gesser designed socks with pull-up loops on both sides of each sock, and fun graphics on the tops of the socks (also available in solid colors). In no time, their son was no longer frustrated and proudly dressing himself. Today this fun and easy teaching tool for teaching kids self-sufficiency is the only one of its kind.
Baby B loves his green frog socks. He calls them his ribbit socks. I give them to him and he knows to pull up the straps to get them on and that they are on "right" when the frog face is on the tops of his feet. Not that I don't love helping him do things but it's nice to have one less thing to have to do when we are trying to get out the door. With EZ Sox I know he can do these on his own and I don't have to tell him that he didn't get them on "right" and have him frustrated. A happy, independent boy means a happy Mama.
Who else likes EZ Sox? EZ Sox are endorsed by TV’s The Doctors, Parenting Magazine, Raising a Sensory Smart Child author Lindsey Biel, OTR/L, and Mommy and Me founder/child development specialist Dr. Cindy Nurik. Eileen and Ronnie product tested EZ Sox at physical and occupational children’s therapy centers throughout New York.
Where You Can Find EZ Sox: EZ Sox are available at ezsox.com. EZ Sox are also sold in 30 boutique stores throughout North America and one US Chain Store with 36 retail outlets. A Japanese distributor has EZ Sox in more than 70 retail stores in Japan.
