I enjoy curling up with my boys and watching a good family friendly movie. We watch a lot of channels that play good family movies and Disney Channel is one of them. Coming to Disney Channel on July 19th is the new movie Teen Beach Movie. When I first heard about the new movie I thought they were doing an up to date version of the Grease movies and would be hoping for another success like High School Musical.

What's the storyline of Teen Beach Movie? Geared toward kids and tweens and their families, Teen Beach Movie is a breezy, surf-rock musical comedy that also comes with a message of the importance of believing in yourself and following your true destiny. Teen Beach Movie follows surfer teen sweethearts McKenzie and Brady who attempt to ride the last wave of summer but mysteriously end up in the classic beach movie West Side story circa 1962. In this version it's surfers vs bikers for control of the beach hangout.

The leading cast members of Teen Beach Movie are Ross Lynch (from Disney Channel's Austin & Ally), Maia Mitchell (from ABC Family's The Fosters), Grace Phipps (from ABC Family's The Nine Lives of Chloe King and the CW's Vampire Diaries) and Garrett Clayton (guest star from Disney Channel's Shake It Up).

We were sent a Teen Beach Movie box of goodies to help us learn more about the upcoming movie and get my boys excited to see it. Our box included a tote bag, beach ball, inflatable surf board, backpack, popcorn and popcorn cups, a poster, a tshirt, a Brady doll and a video camera with behind the scenes look at the movie including interviews with the stars.

My guys love the beach so I was hoping the Teen Beach Movie box would be fun for them. I think it's safe to say they had fun with the surf board the most. I got in on the fun and put on a mask and played beach ball with them. After having a little beach fun and watching our video camera clips, we are looking forward to watching Teen Beach Movie when it airs on Friday, July 19 at 8pm ET on Disney Channel.
