We made it back home from vacation. I enjoyed the week of no laundry, no dishes to wash, no diapers to change but I missed my boys. My last weigh in was April 12th when I weighed in at 169.0. I figured I would have a gain with all the treats I allowed myself to have. I weighed in at 173.0 this morning so I gained 4 lbs. (over 2 weeks) But you know what? I dont really care. Thats right I don't really care. I enjoyed some good food, some time away and still made healthy choices along the way. Yes I had a few doughnut holes and sweet teas and mexican food but I also chose egg substitute, turkey bacon and wheat pancakes over the other stuff. I drank my weight in water + some just about every day. I didnt get a battery in time to use my pedometer but I can tell you I climbed the 219 stairs to the top of the St Augustine Lighthouse (shown above) and back without breaking a sweat and I did walk the entire Orlando Sea World grounds. I did wear my back brace most of the week and I'm still wearing it right now. My back isn't 100% yet but it's tons better than it was the day before we left. I spent that entire day in the bed or on the couch.
Challenges:
Being aware of what I could/couldn't do that would irritate my back pain
Didnt always make the best food choices
Didn't stick to WW while I was gone
Success:
Drank my weight + some in water every day
Climbed to the top of the St Augustine Lighthouse (219 stairs)
Walked the entire grounds of Orlando Sea World in 1 day
Chose to walk more than riding the trolley in downtown St Agustine
Walked the entire street of River Street in Savannah Ga.
Not being hard on myself for gaining 4 lbs.
Enjoyed a week away with Daddy B no children and no responsibilities
The Gruve I won at the #Mamavation twitter party came while we were gone. I've charged it up and I'm wearing it for the first time today. Just doing what I normally do to see what my colors are to see where I need improvement to "go green". Speaking of going green it just vibrated that I have been sitting to long so gotta go get my gruve on 😉
Also just wanted to say that I hope Rachel and Kim are doing well with the Mamavation campaign. I hear week 3 is when you feel ready to give up. You ladies have what it takes to succeed. I have so much to catch up on that I doubt I will make it to the show tonight but I will try my best.
This week the Mamavation blogging carnival is sponsored by Chiquita.
