Do you watch competitive cooking shows? What about the cooking shows with Gordon Ramsey? Hell's Kitchen or MasterChef? My youngest has become very interested in cooking lately and he saw previews for a competitive cooking show, MasterChef Junior, on FOX starring children around his age. Once he saw that MasterChef Junior was premiering November 4th he would keep asking me is it Chef Junior day yet? Finally he got to watch the show. MasterChef Junior is a spin off of the original MasterChef. The hosts/judges are Gordon Ramsey, Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot.
Kyle sat watching MasterChef Junior in awe. He couldn't believe that they let kids cook and be on tv. Being a Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmare watcher I was glad to see a nicer side of Gordon Ramsey. I knew he couldn't be that tough all the time, especially with children. To celebrate the premier of the show my little chef was sent a package from MasterChef Junior. His box included items to make his very own gourmet popcorn. His DIY popcorn kit ($45 value) included:
• (1) Lit Card
• (5) Recipe Cards
• (1) Paper Chef Hat
• (1) Set of Measuring Spoons
• (4) Junior Spices
• (2) DIY Seasoning Jars
• (1) Popcorn Mason Jar full of popcorn kernels
• (6) MCJ branded Popcorn Boxes
I was pretty amazed myself as I watched the show with Kyle. MasterChef Junior has given 8, 9, 10 and 11 year old children the opportunity to show just how good they can be in the kitchen. My favorites are Oona and Abby. To see what I'm talking about with the abilities of the children check out Oona and her pork tenderloin dish! SHe is only nine. When I was nine I could barely boil a hot dog.
We've been following the series since it started and dvr'ing when we couldn't be at the tv on Tuesday evenings. You and your budding little chef(s) can watch MasterChef Junior on FOX on Tueday nights at 8pm.
