I've done Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, Leslie Sansone Walk at Home and many other workout dvds but just couldn't stick with any of them. With the beginning of 2011 just about everyone sets resolutions or goals that they would like to accomplish for the new year. I am no different. I want to be healthier. Not just skinnier but healthier. When Daddy B and I met I was 5' 7" and weighed 125 lbs. I was under weight back then. I don't want to be that small again but right now (after 2 children and not keeping up with healthy eating and exercise) I am slightly over weight. I had been debating the best way for me to stick with my New Year resolution of getting healthy when I have failed at it so many times before. Then last month I received an email that I could sign up to review the Moms Into Fitness 60 Day SlimDown with Lindsay Brin. Figuring that I wouldn't get chosen I signed up anyways. Few weeks later I got a package in the mail from Moms Into Fitness. I was excited. My time of uncertainty about getting healthy now gave me no excuses as to why I can't make it happen. I was ready to give anything a chance to help me reach my goals and lose pregnancy weight I have held on to for way to long. Im so past ready to lose the baby belly since my baby isn't a baby anymore.
What do you get with the Moms Into Fitness 60 Day SlimDown?
4 dvds:
* Lindsay Brin's Post Natal Boot Camp
* Lindsay Brin's Core Firing Sequence Method
* Lindsay Brin's Core Metabloic Jumpstart
* Lindsay Brin's Shed 5 Fast
You get over 22 different workouts on the 4 DVDs. Along with the DVDs you get the 60 Day SlimDown packet you download (pdf). With the SlimDown packet you get a 60 day meal plan, workout calendar, progress tracker (for weigh and measurements) and the fit test information.
The 60 Day SlimDown is broken up into 3 phases. In Phase 1 all workouts can be done in 30 minutes or less. Then in Phase 2 you challenge your body even more and shred that core to lose even more fat in 45 minutes or less. Then in Phase 3 Lindsay teaches you how to see results even after the initial 60 days are over. The 3 phase meal plan is great for the family. I told you before when I reviewed the Cinch! weight loss book that the Cinch! plan for meals wasn't very my family friendly. Well I'm glad to say that the 60 Day SlimDown plan is! Just this week we have had tenderloin and potatoes, grilled cheese sandwiches, smoothies, soft tacos, stir fry, mexican soup and even pizza! Real food (that even my pickey guys will eat) but the recipes are healthy, I promise!
Each DVD from Lindsay challenges your body in a different way with so much variety in workouts that your body will continue to get lean. The Post Natal Boot Camp will have you doing intense interval training to jumpstart your body so you can get your pre baby weight body back. The CFS (aka Core Firing Sequence) DVD will have you train your core to fire from the inside out, creating muscles that work like a corset. Not only does Lindsay show you how to do the exercises but she explains how to do them correctly in way that I understand and know that I am doing what I am supposed to be for results. The Core Metabolic Jumpstart DVD will have your metabolism boosting while shredding that core. For those that may not know when I say core I mean the abs or what I call the mommy muffin top. Then there is the Shed 5 Fast DVD that will help continue to melt of the pounds. You can even workout with your baby. Now my "baby" just turned 3 and weighs more than I care to workout with but if there is a Baby #3 I'd love to workout along with my little one.
With the 60 Day SlimDown Lindsay tells me what to eat, what to do for workouts and when to do them for best results. You can even do the 60 Day SlimDown even if you are breastfeeding! After 4 IVFs and 2 children Lindsay shows photo proof that the 60 Day SlimDown can work. She is now pregnant with baby #3 (with no medical help this time, yay!). You can read Lindsay's weight loss journey on her blog at lindsaybrin.com. You can also follow Lindsay on twitter and "like" Lindsay's Moms Into Fitness page on Facebook.
No matter what your workout level is, whether it's beginner, intermediate or advanced you have a workout person on the dvd to follow. She has something for all of us. You don't even have to be a mom to enjoy these workouts. SAHM, working mom, not a mom, never worked out, haven't worked out in a while or just have a few pounds you'd like to lose the 60 Day SlimDown can help. I took my weight and body measurements on day 1. Then I'll check it all every 10 days for the 60 days. I'll be updating y'all with my results along the way to show how I am doing with the 60 Day SlimDown. If you would like to join me you can purchase Lindsay Brin's Moms Into Fitness 60 Day SlimDown for $49.99 for the 4 DVD set and info packet and Lindsay is offering Thrifty Mama B readers a 30% off coupon code 60daydvd30 which expires Jan. 31, 2011.
