It's no secret that I love menu planning. I was in a cooking rut and was fixing the same meals week after week when I decided that I needed to give menu planning a try. I was never all that good at meal planning before but now I'm think I do pretty darn good in the kitchen. I have many new cookbooks, I started following new food blogs, I have subscribed to a couple magazines that come with recipes and while Im in line at the grocery store I'll browse the recipe magazines while I wait. I also like to find sites online that offer a variety of recipes that are not only quick and easy for the busy nights but that also offer different tastes in their recipes. I used GiveEverNightNewFlavor.com this week.
GiveEveryNightNewFlavor.com is a recipe site from ConAgra that offers recipes that use ConAgra brand products that you can purchase at your local Kroger (or Kroger family stores). Using the meal widget (meal finder) they offer on GiveEveryNightNewFlavor you choose what flavor recipes you want (American, Italian, Asian, Tex Mex), how long you have to prepare/cook (most recipes are 30 minutes or less) and how many servings you need. Once you have all that picked out the meal finder will list all the recipes that match your needs.
Once you find a recipe you can look through the e-coupons on their list and add any of the coupons to your Kroger (or Kroger family store) card to have automatically added to your card before you go shopping. No coupons to print, clip, keep up with and remember to use. Just let them swipe your card and you get automatic savings at the register. You can also add the ingredients that you need to buy to a shopping list directly on GiveEveryNightNewFlavor.com and have a printed shopping list ready to go with you to the store.
I chose Tex-Mex for what we were craving along with 30 minutes or more for the time and chose 4 or more servings. The meal finder gave me a list of recipes. I decided to give the Tex Mex Bagel Bake a try. There are only 6 ingredients. The boys won't eat plain peppers or onions but they will eat salsa so in place of the frozen veggies listed I used ⅓ cup of chunky salsa. I should have used a little more but I was afraid I would get it to hot and "spikey" for Baby B to eat.
I let them help with the prep work (they are good bagel tearers and mixers)and we got it in the oven. An hour later we were enjoying our Tex Mex Bagel Bake for lunch.
There are lots more recipes at GiveEveryNightnewFlavor.com that I will be trying out. The e-coupons on the site are an added bonus. Thank you Kroger and ConAgra for the meal finder widget @ giveeverynightnewflavor.com. I have more quick and easy #frugal #weeknightmeals #recipes for my family.
