I can't be the only one with children that actually enjoy cleaning without being begged told to help can I? Both of my boys enjoy helping me clean up and will even get upset if they find that I cleaned while they were gone or sleeping. How many of you have walked in to use the bathroom to find one of these waiting on you?
Yeah I definitely know I'm not the only one there either. My boys love helping clean but remembering to tell Mom that the paper roll is empty is usually not on the top of their to do list. Baby B and I were headed out for errands and grocery shopping so I added Scott paper towels and Scott bath tissue aka "paper toilet" to my shopping list. It's printed on the package as bathroom tissue, I call it toilet paper but Baby B insists that it is called paper toilet because the napkins are called paper towels. I correct him but it still is paper toilet to him. No matter what we call it we needed some. You can see our full shopping trip over on our ScottValues album.
As I mentioned before my boys seriously love cleaning. I don't know that it will continue without me having to ask once they are older but for now I am enjoying that they enjoy helping. They are a lot like me. They get joy out of helping others. I don't make them do all of the cleaning but if they want to clean some windows or clean up their room or help wash up some dishes I will surely let them. They are 5 and 8 and plenty old enough in my book to help out and just because they are boys doesn't mean they can't clean.
After running errands and getting the grocery shopping done we came home and waited for Little B to get home from school. We were cleaning up some while we waited. Once Little B was home and he saw that we were cleaning he wanted to help. He didn't have any homework and did he ask for the iPad or DS or wii? No he asked for the paper towels. We have been buyers of Scott for some time now. I didn't know anything about VUDU before I saw the coupons on the Scott products. For the month of May at Walmart you'll find the $4 VUDU movie credit coupons on the Scott Extra Soft bath tissue 24 rolls or the Scott 6 pack mega rolls of paper towels. You can save on your Scott products if you visit the Scott Shared Values site and print off the coupons they have available. You can save on the products you're buying anyways and get the VUDU credits as a free bonus.
What is VUDU? VUDU is a online movie service that I would compare to Netflix. You can watch t.v. shows and movies from your television, computer or smartphone. After an evening of cleaning I thought the boys earned a treat so we used our vudu coupon to get LEGO Batman for them to watch. Yes my boys love cleaning without being told or expecting something in return but sometimes they deserve the time to just be little boys and watch a cartoon.
