I have completed 3 months of the Shaklee Cinch inch loss program. I will say it has been a success this month. No major life changing events this month. It's been a normal day to day month for me. Kids, husband, cooking, cleaning, laundry, family, friends, exercise. Sounds exciting doesn't it? I told myself that for month 3 I would be a more positive person no matter what. I needed some change and I I have been doing just that. A little at a time. Step by step, day by day (that reminds me of the theme song Second Time Around from the tv show Step by Step from the 90s. Who remembers watching that on Friday nights?)
For month 3 I lost 7 lbs. and 7.5 inches. My total weight loss in 3 months is 16.2 lbs and total inches lost are 21. Yay! I figure if I can continue my last 3 months at this rate of losses I will be at my "goal weight" by the end of the 6 months. During month 3 I was able to walk (a labor day flea market) about 9 miles in 5 hours. That was a big success for me. My legs were a little swollen but my back and feet weren't hurting like I expected. To go along with my changes in my life I decided to get a new hair do. It's the shortest its been in a long time and I have bangs again for the first time since high school.
The jeans in my month 3 photo above are jeans that I wore last year at this time and they were snug fitting. They are a size 14. I had to go jeans shopping last week. I tried on size 12 and they fit but were a little baggy. I can fit in a size 10 jean again! Now if I could just get a smaller bra size haha.
I have learned a few things about the Cinch program as I have come along. The meal in a bar is better tasting when it's heated in the microwave for a few seconds. I've done more experimenting with the shakes this month. I've told y'all before that I like adding things to my shakes. Well I have 2 shakes for you that I have made and LOVED this month.
Strawberry Cheesecake Shake
1 packet Cinch Strawberry shake mix
½ cup frozen strawberries (fresh will work also)
8 oz fat free skim milk
½ graham cracker
6-8 pieces of cubed ice
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Drink and enjoy. This reminds me of one of my favorite not so healthy desserts- strawberry cheesecake.
Candybar Shake
1 packet Cinch chocolate shake mix
1 Tbs caramel extract or sugar free flavoring
1 & ½ tsp. sugar free chocolate pudding mix
8 oz. fat free skim milk or Almond Milk
1 Tbs peanut butter or PB2 (I use soy butter)
6-8 ice cubes
Add all ingredients to blender and blend well. I find it is easiest to blend the powder mix with the milk before blending in the ice because doing it all at the same time leaves powder chunks sometimes and that does not taste very good. I do the add ins on a lot of shakes because I don't want to get bored with the same flavors all 6 months. If I get bored I'll want to stop drinking them and I don't want that to happen.
I'm ready to continue my Cinch journey as we tackle month 4. I need to find exercise that can help with my belly pooch. I'm losing inches but its not toning up as much as I would like. I'm thinking I need to do more core training. Do you have any questions, concerns or ideas dealing with the Shaklee Cinch program or exercise? I'm all eyes {would be ears if I were listening but since I'm reading its ears}. I would love to hear what you do for exercise and if you have questions maybe I can help or get you in touch with someone who can.
