Are you a racing fan? I'd love to take my boys to a NASCAR race sometime soon but I'm afraid they would quickly grow bored watching the regular races. I love seeing companies giving back to their communities and that's just what McGeorge Toyota will be doing this Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Richmond International Raceway (RIR) as one of the sponsors of the event. Tickets to the showdown are $25 and children 12 and under get in free. In addition to being a major sponsor of the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown, Farlow and Rod McGeorge, president of McGeorge Toyota, will make a special donation of $30,000 to the Denny Hamlin Foundation on behalf of McGeorge Toyota. The donation will go to support the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU via the Denny Hamlin Foundation, which is committed to raising awareness and funds for the specific needs of children with cystic fibrosis.
Tomorrow at the RIR you can take the entire family to watch the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown. It would be a great way to introduce the younger kids to racing as the showdown is only 70 laps. This event will benefit the Children's Hospital of Richmond in VCU. Bring the kids on out to watch some racing, meet some celebrities and help support the Denny Hamlin Cystic Fibrosis Research Lab.
